Cornwall’s Alternative Calendar Girls

Cornwall’s Alternative Calendar Girls was set up by a group of women based in the Newquay area who are passionate about celebrating punks, rockers and other types of women across the alternative spectrum. Profits raised from the project will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
As well as offer an opportunity for local models, we also want to appeal to those who have always wanted to experience modelling. We recently launched the search for alternative girls to model for the calendar. Entrance finishes on October 31^st.

On November 11th we will be hosting a big event at Walkabout Newquay, where the featuring girls will be announced, alongside a night of alternative music from DJ’s and popular local bands:

• Envy the Fallen
• Sandfire Siren
• Kernuyck
• The female fronted band ‘Honey’.

The night will feature Cornwall Roller Derby, the Kernow Rollers, as well as the winner of this year’s Dolly Rocker. We aim to support local artists and businesses by offering them the opportunity to sell their merchandise on the night. We also have local graphic designer Quiche Smith onboard the project.

On December 16^th we will be hosting the calendar launch event at Walkabout Newquay, and have some exciting news regarding the line up to be announced.
